1Upload Your Excel File
Upload your Excel file exported from your broker (e.g., Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, etc.). The file should contain a sheet with trade data. Our system automatically detects the header row by scanning the first 25 rows of your file.
✓ Broker-Agnostic: The calculator now works with CSV/Excel files from any broker. It automatically identifies the header row regardless of its position in the file.
Required Columns: Your file must contain at least these columns: Symbol (or Scrip), Entry Date, Exit Date, Buy Value, and Sell Value. Additional columns like Profit, Turnover, ISIN, etc., are optional and will be calculated if missing.
2Data Validation & Parsing
Our system dynamically detects your file structure and validates the required columns:
Core Required Columns:
- Symbol (or Scrip) - Stock symbol/name
- Entry Date - Date when you bought the stock
- Exit Date - Date when you sold the stock
- Buy Value - Total amount paid
- Sell Value - Total amount received
Optional Columns (calculated if missing):
- ISIN - International Securities Identification Number

- Taxable Profit - Defaults to Profit if not provided

Each trade is automatically classified based on the holding period:
